Do you know how much had to go right for us to meet? Your father had to have sex with your mother during a precise 36-hour window—that's roughly 1.5 days out of 30 when the miracle of biology allows for creation.

For everyone who met their person without contemplating reproductive statistics: congratulations on your cosmic luck.

But let's rewind, because this letter isn’t about envisioning your parents (or mine) sleeping together (don’t need that imagery). Before the making you part, your father and mother had to meet and have a connection and, as we know, deep bonds don't form every day. They're statistically improbable.

And my mother and father had to meet and connect (though my mother maintains it was less romance, more transaction: you're beautiful plus I'm handsome equals baby. Ten months later, I arrived).
